This course is designed for beginners, with no prior experience required, and will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to explore the underwater world with confidence.
What’s Included
Professional Instruction:
Learn from our experienced, PADI-certified instructors who will guide you through every step of the course, ensuring you feel confident and prepared for each dive.
PADI Open Water Diver eLearning:
Included with your course, access the course material online with PADI’s eLearning platform, allowing you to study at your own pace, anytime and anywhere. This is completed independently prior to in-water training.
Confined Water Skills Development:
Gain hands-on experience in 5 confined water sessions, where you’ll learn and practice essential scuba skills in a safe, controlled environment like a pool or shallow water.
Open Water Dives:
During your course you will complete 4 open water dives at stunning local dive sites. These dives are the final step in your training, giving you the opportunity to explore the underwater world while solidifying your skills and building confidence.
PADI Open Water Diver Certification:
Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll earn the PADI Open Water Diver certification, which is recognized worldwide and valid for life.
Contribution to PADI AWARE:
Your course fee includes a donation to PADI AWARE, supporting global marine conservation efforts and helping to protect our oceans for future generations.
Lifetime Certification: Once certified, your PADI Open Water Diver certification is valid for life and recognized worldwide, allowing you to dive up to 18 meters (60 feet) with a buddy.
Further Education: After completing your Open Water Diver course, you can continue your diving education with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, which allows you to dive deeper and explore different types of diving, such as night diving, wreck diving, and underwater navigation.
Prerequisites
Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 10 years old. For those aged 10-14, there’s a Junior Open Water Diver certification available.
Health Requirements: You must be in good physical health, and you'll need to complete a medical questionnaire before starting the course.
Swimming Skills: Basic swimming ability is required. You must be able to swim 200 meters/yards (or 300 meters/yards with mask, fins, and snorkel) and tread water for 10 minutes.

Typical Duration: The PADI Open Water Diver course typically takes 3 days in-water to complete, depending on the pace of your learning. Your e-learning will be completed independently before hand and reviewed with your instructor.

You don’t need to be an expert swimmer, but you should have basic swimming skills. You’ll need to complete a 200-meter swim and a 10-minute float/tread water test.
