Team Nautilus would like to thank  the great group of divers at Scuba Sciences in Phoenix, Arizona.  We held an introduction to rebreathers course at the facility on July 23rd and 24th.  14 divers took part in an evening academic session and scheduled blocks of time the following day for their confined water work.  No Bubbles…No Troubles…Welcome to Silent Divng!

Scuba Sciences has been a cornerstone of the Arizona diving community since 1971.  They are dedicated to providing their clients the highest standard of diver education as well as optimum breathing gas technology.

The Nautilus Diving Center in Cabo San Lucas held a Technical CCR Diver/Instructor Course in June 2010.  Team Nautilus  would like to give special thanks to Joe Radomski for putting on an excellent program.

The facility will offer regular courses starting  in November 2010.  Courses will include but are not limited to: ANDI SafeAir Sport Diver, Complete SafeAir User, Technical SafeAir Diver, Technical Trimix Diver, Introduction to Rebreathers, Rebreather Diver, Technical Rebreather Diver, and Technical Trimix Rebreather Diver.

The facility will also be available for outside instructors to use for travel training. 

The 15 foot deep training pool, new rental fleet, blending station, technician room, A/C classroom, wireless internet, showers, and rinse tanks give this facility the tools to provide each diver top notch education and service.

Cabo San Lucas is ideal for dive training.  The dive sites are near the facility and marina limiting the down time between activities.  The Canyon offers shallow and deep water options.  Visibility is generally 20-80 feet.  Current is not an issue inside the bay (good for CCR training).  Water temperature varies between the mid 60s to high 80s depending on the time of year.

The Tacoma Show was another excellent opportunity for Team Nautilus to promote our product to the dive industry.  Although this regional show is still relatively new to the circuit, it is gaining popularity every year.  The Pacific North West is home to tried and true divers who love their sport.   We look forward to a return trip to the area this August/September for a try dive opportunity…check back for details!

The Nautilus Closed-Circuit Rebreather recently exhibited at Beneath the Sea in the Meadowlands Convention Center in Newark, New Jersey. 

This high energy show afforded us a great opportunity to meet east coast divers and promote the Nautilus CCR.  We are working on the details to put together a try dive opportunity in the region some time in the next few months.  Interested parties can send us an email at info@divenautilus.com.

Team Nautilus also began to promote our dive center in Cabo San Lucas as a destination for open circuit and closed circuit technical training.  With the addition of our gas delivery/ blending station, the facility is properly equipped to meet the needs of both OC and CC divers.

European Union

The European Union mandates that a rebreather must hold CE certification in order for a dive center to carry it.  At this time the Nautilus CCR does not hold a CE certification.  It is not the only CCR in this circumstance.

Team Nautilus believes that dive retailers play an essential role in the health and stability of the industry.  They have the capacity to offer their customers valuable information, quality service, top-notch instruction, and the support to keep people diving. Unfortunately, the European market cannot benefit from the service of a Nautilus dealer at this time. 

In order to service the European community, Team Nautilus will act in place of the dive retailer.  European customers are able to buy product, parts, and service factory/distributor direct.  The retail price structure of $7,485.00 USD will remain in place.

Although the European market will receive the best customer service possible by dealing direct, they will incur more shipping costs and experience slightly longer delays in the delivery of spare parts since they will not be on a shelf down the street or in a neighboring country.

In order to compensate the European market for this unfortunate inconvenience, Team Nautilus will issue a $1,200.00 USD credit that European customers can use towards future expenses of parts, service, or shipping costs associated with the Nautilus CCR.

We appreciate the European market and hope to increase our presence in the region.
